ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

Effective Date: 10 June 2026

1. INTRODUCTION

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) forms part of the GoDomains Terms & Conditions and applies to all products and services provided by Cloudme Digital Co. W.L.L., trading as GoDomains (“GoDomains”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

This AUP applies to all users, customers, registrants, account holders, visitors, and any person accessing or using the Services.

By using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP.

2. PURPOSE

The purpose of this AUP is to:

  • Protect customers and internet users;

  • Maintain the security and stability of our Services;

  • Protect registries, infrastructure providers, and third parties;

  • Prevent abuse, fraud, and unlawful activity;

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, registry requirements, and industry standards.

GoDomains reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action where necessary.

3. ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES

You may not use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law, regulation, court order, governmental requirement, or regulatory obligation.

Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Fraud or deceptive practices;

  • Identity theft;

  • Financial crimes;

  • Money laundering;

  • Child exploitation;

  • Human trafficking;

  • Terrorism-related activities;

  • Sale or distribution of illegal goods or services;

  • Distribution of unlawful content;

  • Violations of sanctions, embargoes, or export controls.

4. FRAUD, DECEPTION, AND MISREPRESENTATION

You may not:

  • Impersonate any person or organization;

  • Misrepresent your identity or authority;

  • Use false registration information;

  • Operate fraudulent websites;

  • Conduct scams or deceptive schemes;

  • Mislead customers, users, or third parties.

5. PHISHING AND CREDENTIAL HARVESTING

You may not use the Services to:

  • Create or host phishing websites;

  • Collect usernames, passwords, authentication tokens, or credentials;

  • Impersonate banks, government agencies, businesses, or individuals;

  • Conduct social engineering attacks;

  • Facilitate credential theft or account compromise.

6. MALWARE AND HARMFUL SOFTWARE

You may not create, distribute, host, transmit, or facilitate:

  • Malware;

  • Ransomware;

  • Viruses;

  • Worms;

  • Trojan horses;

  • Spyware;

  • Keyloggers;

  • Malicious scripts;

  • Botnets;

  • Any software intended to compromise systems, networks, or users.

7. SPAM AND UNSOLICITED COMMUNICATIONS

You may not use the Services to:

  • Send unsolicited commercial email;

  • Send bulk email without appropriate consent;

  • Operate spam campaigns;

  • Harvest email addresses;

  • Send unsolicited SMS messages;

  • Distribute misleading communications;

  • Circumvent anti-spam controls.

Customers operating email services remain responsible for compliance with applicable anti-spam laws and regulations.

8. NETWORK AND SECURITY ABUSE

You may not:

  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or networks;

  • Circumvent authentication mechanisms;

  • Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without authorization;

  • Interfere with security controls;

  • Disrupt networks or services;

  • Intercept communications without authorization;

  • Engage in denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service attacks.

9. DOMAIN NAME ABUSE

Domain names registered through GoDomains may not be used for:

  • Phishing;

  • Malware distribution;

  • Fraudulent activity;

  • Trademark infringement;

  • Consumer deception;

  • Unlawful activity;

  • Activities that threaten internet security or public trust.

GoDomains reserves the right to suspend, lock, disable, transfer, or otherwise restrict domain names involved in abuse investigations or required by registry operators, regulatory authorities, dispute resolution providers, or courts.

10. HOSTING, CLOUD, AND VPS SERVICES

You may not use hosting, cloud, VPS, or related infrastructure services to:

  • Operate malware infrastructure;

  • Launch attacks;

  • Operate botnets;

  • Host phishing content;

  • Host unlawful content;

  • Circumvent security controls;

  • Conduct unauthorized penetration testing;

  • Abuse shared infrastructure.

Customers remain responsible for all activity conducted through systems under their control.

11. RESOURCE ABUSE

You may not use the Services in a manner that:

  • Consumes excessive resources;

  • Negatively impacts other customers;

  • Degrades service quality;

  • Threatens platform stability;

  • Interferes with normal operations.

GoDomains may impose technical limits, suspend Services, require upgrades, or take other actions where excessive resource usage is detected.

12. OPEN PROXIES, VPNS, AND ANONYMIZATION SERVICES

You may not operate:

  • Open proxies;

  • Open mail relays;

  • Anonymous forwarding services;

  • Public VPN services;

  • TOR exit nodes;

where such operation creates security, abuse, reputational, legal, or operational risks to GoDomains or its service providers.

Exceptions may be granted with prior written approval.

13. CRYPTOCURRENCY MINING

Cryptocurrency mining and similar resource-intensive blockchain activities are prohibited on shared hosting services.

Such activities may be restricted or prohibited on VPS, cloud, or other infrastructure services where they negatively affect platform stability, violate provider requirements, or create unreasonable operational risk.

14. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

You may not:

  • Infringe copyrights;

  • Infringe trademarks;

  • Distribute pirated software;

  • Host copyrighted content without authorization;

  • Violate intellectual property rights.

GoDomains may remove content or restrict Services in response to valid infringement complaints.

15. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION

You may not:

  • Collect personal information unlawfully;

  • Monitor communications without authorization;

  • Disclose confidential information without permission;

  • Violate applicable privacy or data protection laws.

16. AUTOMATED ACCESS AND SCRAPING

You may not:

  • Scrape the Services;

  • Harvest customer data;

  • Use automated systems to collect information;

  • Create databases from Service content;

  • Conduct excessive automated queries;

  • Circumvent rate limits or access restrictions.

Reasonable search engine indexing and approved integrations are permitted.

17. REGISTRY, REGULATORY, AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE

GoDomains may suspend, restrict, lock, disable, transfer, terminate, or otherwise take action regarding Services in response to:

  • Registry operator requirements;

  • Registrar requirements;

  • Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Bahrain requirements;

  • Court orders;

  • Governmental requests;

  • Law enforcement requests;

  • Dispute resolution proceedings;

  • Security investigations;

  • Legal obligations.

Customers agree to cooperate with reasonable compliance requests.

18. INVESTIGATION AND ENFORCEMENT

GoDomains may investigate suspected violations of this AUP.

Where a violation is suspected or confirmed, GoDomains may:

  • Issue warnings;

  • Restrict access;

  • Suspend Services;

  • Lock domain names;

  • Disable accounts;

  • Remove content;

  • Terminate Services;

  • Preserve evidence;

  • Cooperate with authorities;

  • Take any action reasonably necessary to protect customers, infrastructure, registries, providers, or the public.

GoDomains may take action without prior notice where immediate action is reasonably necessary.

19. NO REFUNDS

Where Services are suspended, restricted, disabled, locked, or terminated as a result of a violation of this AUP, no refund shall be due unless otherwise required by applicable law.

20. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

GoDomains may modify this AUP from time to time.

Updated versions become effective upon publication unless otherwise stated.

Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.

USE OF THE SERVICES

When you use the Services you warrant that you will comply with this Policy and with all applicable laws.

You also acknowledge that you may not:

  • Systematically retrieve data or other content from the Services to create or compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, compilation, database, or directory without written permission from us.
  • Make any unauthorised use of the Services, including collecting usernames and/or email addresses of users by electronic or other means for the purpose of sending unsolicited email, or creating user accounts by automated means or under false pretences.

  • Make improper use of our Services, including our support services or submit false reports of abuse or misconduct.

  • Copy or adapt the Services’ software, including but not limited to Flash, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, or other code.
  • Upload or transmit (or attempt to upload or to transmit) viruses, Trojan horses, or other material, including excessive use of capital letters and spamming (continuous posting of repetitive text), that interferes with any party’s uninterrupted use and enjoyment of the Services or modifies, impairs, disrupts, alters, or interferes with the use, features, functions, operation, or maintenance of the Services.
  • Upload or transmit (or attempt to upload or to transmit) any material that acts as a passive or active information collection or transmission mechanism, including without limitation, clear graphics interchange formats (‘gifs’), 1×1 pixels, web bugs, cookies, or other similar devices (sometimes referred to as ‘spyware’ or ‘passive collection mechanisms’ or ‘pcms’).
  • Except as may be the result of standard search engine or Internet browser usage, use, launch, develop, or distribute any automated system, including without limitation, any spider, robot, cheat utility, scraper, or offline reader that accesses the Services, or using or launching any unauthorised script or other software.
  • Disparage, tarnish, or otherwise harm, in our opinion, us and/or the Services.
  • Use the Services in a manner inconsistent with any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Sell or otherwise transfer your profile.
  • Use a buying agent or purchasing agent to make purchases on the Services.

CONSEQUENCES OF BREACHING THIS POLICY

The consequences for violating our Policy will vary depending on the severity of the breach and the user’s history on the Services, by way of example:

We may, in some cases, give you a warning, however, if your breach is serious or if you continue to breach our Legal Terms and this Policy, we have the right to suspend or terminate your access to and use of our Services and, if applicable, disable your account. We may also notify law enforcement or issue legal proceedings against you when we believe that there is a genuine risk to an individual or a threat to public safety.

We exclude our liability for all action we may take in response to any of your breaches of this Policy.
