Effective Date: 10 June 2026

1. INTRODUCTION

This WHOIS Privacy Service Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the use of WHOIS Privacy, Registration Privacy, Proxy Registration, or similar privacy protection services (“Privacy Services”) offered by GoDomains.

This Agreement forms part of the GoDomains Terms & Conditions, Domain Registration Agreement, Privacy Policy, and related policies.

By enabling or using Privacy Services, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

2. PURPOSE OF THE SERVICE

WHOIS Privacy Services are designed to reduce the public visibility of certain registration data associated with eligible domain names.

Where available and enabled, Privacy Services may:

  • Replace publicly displayed contact information;

  • Redact registration information from publicly accessible WHOIS or RDAP services;

  • Provide alternative public contact details;

  • Reduce unsolicited communications and spam.

WHOIS Privacy Services do not transfer ownership of a domain name and do not alter the identity of the underlying Registrant.

3. ELIGIBILITY

Privacy Services are only available where permitted by:

  • Registry operators;

  • Registrars;

  • Applicable laws;

  • Full legal name;

  • Organization name (where applicable);

  • Telephone number;

  • Postal address;

  • Any information required by registry policies or applicable law.

Failure to maintain accurate information may result in suspension, cancellation, or removal of Privacy Services and may affect the underlying domain name registration.

5. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

GoDomains may disclose underlying registration information where required or reasonably necessary, including but not limited to:

  • Court orders;

  • Legal proceedings;

  • Law enforcement requests;

Privacy Services are intended to reduce public visibility of registration information.

GoDomains does not guarantee:

  • Complete anonymity;

  • Confidentiality from third parties;

  • Protection from legal disclosure requirements;

  • Protection from registry disclosures;

  • Protection from court orders or governmental requests.

Certain information may remain publicly available depending on the applicable domain extension and registry requirements.

  • Customer inquiries.

GoDomains is under no obligation to forward all communications and reserves the right to filter spam, malicious communications, or communications that violate applicable policies.

Privacy Services may not be used to:

  • Conceal unlawful activity;

  • Facilitate fraud;

  • Conduct phishing;

  • Distribute malware;

  • Infringe intellectual property rights;

  • Evade law enforcement investigations;

  • Violate registry policies;

  • Legal requirements require action;

  • Fraud is suspected;

  • Abuse is suspected;

  • Registration information is inaccurate;

  • Verification requests are not satisfied;

  • The associated domain name is suspended or terminated.

Suspension of Privacy Services may result in registration information becoming publicly available where permitted or required.

10. DOMAIN REGISTRATION REMAINS ACTIVE

Removal, suspension, or termination of Privacy Services does not automatically terminate the underlying domain name registration.

The Registrant remains responsible for:

  • Domain renewals;

  • Compliance obligations;
